Mendihuaca Surf is right on the beach call “Playa Pescadores de la Poza de Mendihuaca” Fisherman’s Beach of Mendihuaca Pool, close to Mendihuaca river mouth and you will find us 1km from the main high way (Troncal del Caribe) on the km39. Read more…
It’s really easy to reach us, the common acces from the main high way to the costeño beach hostal is the same acces for Mendihuaca surf camp and to the Mendihuaca River beach. Youll see´the access at the km39 once you cross the Mendihuaca River bridge or beside the big bannana plantation. As well you will see a mototaxi station right on the entrance from the high way. We are 1 hour from Santa Marta city, 10 minutes from Tayrona Park (8km), 10 minutes from Lost City entrance (8km) and 30 minutes from Palomino (30km).

PUBLIC BUS

There is a good public bus service, name “Cooperativa Oriente”, that runs on the main high way (Troncal del Caribe) which strats in the public market of the Santa Marta city, with its main station on the streets “carrera 9” with “calle 11” and going all the way back and forth to Palomino town. Read more…

This bus service, that reach as well the Tayron Park entrance, drives every 20 minutes one bus behind another, picking and leaving constumers all the way on the main high way and will as well pass right infront of the access km 38,5 to Mendihuaca Surf. The main cost of a ride from the city or from Palomino to Mendihuaca surf access is $8,000 the ride with only 1 bag.

Is easier to inform to the bus driver or helper that your stop is at costeño entrance and once you are there, the best you could get is a mototaxi to drive you all the way to the mendihuaca river beach. If you have enough time you could walk, but you should be aware that after 8am a couple of cars and motobikes will be passing constantly on that access road.
